James Nys (Nys)

Edward Allan Brown died due to injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015.

Ed was born July 13, 1948, in Billings to Curtis and Nell Brown. He grew up in Billings and attended West High, graduating in 1966. He was drafted right out of high school and served one tour in Vietnam.

He married Delilah K. Gray on Dec. 27, 1971, in Billings. They had two daughters, Terra in 1972 and Samantha in 1988. He worked for Sysco Foods of Montana for 33 years, retiring in October 2006.

Ed led a full life and had too many hobbies to list. He enjoyed his girls and his family and had a habit of collecting people who were in need.

His parents and two brothers, Curtis and Hal, precede him in death. He is survived by his wife, Delilah, of Billings; his two daughters, Terra Chirieleison, of Leander, Texas, and Samantha Andersen, of Billings; siblings Linda Nelson, Patricia Mercer, James Brown and David Brown; many aunts and uncles; friends; and his best buddy, Drover, his shih tzu.

The family would like to thank everyone at Billings Clinic who took care of Ed after the accident; the Cowboy Action shooters, a group that Ed was a part of; and everyone who has lent support in the recent weeks, especially Rob Zimmerman and Brenna Braaten.

A private family service will be held Saturday and will be followed by celebration of life July 13, 2016, at the family homestead.

Ed never liked to say goodbye, so this isn’t goodbye, it’s until we see you again.
